Sustainability
At Cool Farms we believe in sustainable agriculture. Our blueberry farms are organic, zero waste, and carbon neutral.
Being vertically integrated allows us to work on all the processes of the chain, trying to make them compatible with environmental protection and agricultural efficiency: Handling, picking, packaging, labeling and reception of the fruit at our processing facilities, or during transport.
Organic
The goal of Cool Farms is to reach 300 hectares of organic cranberry production in northern Spain by 2026, making us a reference in organic blueberries worldwide.
Zero residue
We practice zero-waste agriculture based on the combination of biological tools and solutions combined with chemical synthesis treatments. By permanently applying this methodology, under technical supervision and within an action protocol we are able to obtain a residue-free harvest.
Carbon neutral
Since the second quarter of 2024 we are a “Carbon Positive” company in the blueberry division. In other words, we capture more CO2 than we are emitting which makes us carbon neutral in our berry division.
